Bridges where I've lived...

A cute little drawbridge in the town I grew up in... Boynton Beach, Florida

The Royal Gorge Bridge in Canon City, Colorado, about 1 hour west of Colorado Springs. It is the world's highest suspension bridge, at 1,053 ft. (321 meters) above the Arkansas River. It was not designed for transportation purposes, but is a tourist attraction that can be crossed by foot.

The Piscataqua River Bridge in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. It connects the state to its neighbor Maine.

    WOW!!! I'm fascinated, awed, and a little bit scared! I want to tackle them all! Especially the Boston one! what a structure! Very futuristic and cool looking!!

    Karen... the Zakim Bridge is part of I-93 so you can't walk across. During rush hour, traffic is so slow that walking would likely be faster.

    Kylie... you deserve more than your own post, but that's all I can give right now. That little bridge in Florida brings back so many memories.

    I'm scared of the Colorado bridge. I don't know if I'd be able to walk that one...

    I've stood where that last photo was taken.

    Have you been over there to check out the old WW2 forts yet? I recommend...

    Megan... no WWII forts for me yet, but have been to Alcatraz. That's pretty cool.
