Sunday night update

I'm proud of myself. I made a last minute push at the end of the night but by 9:00pm Sunday my weekend to-do list ended up looking like this:

1. Clean the bathroom, except the crud on the shower doors (need more cleaner)
2. Clean the kitchen, no sparks, no explosions
3. Do the dishes, both machine and hand wash because my dishwasher sucks
4. Sweep the patio
5. Vacuum, dust, and straighten the living room
6. Reorganize the den
7. Buy groceries
8. Do laundry

* - added for Sunday
* Sent out resume and application
* Watched NASCAR race from Pocono

Wow, you, Gig, Mark and my family are perfect for one another because of that NASCAR thingie. Unfortunately I think many members of my family are very conservative (GOOD LORD, who knew until they voted for Shrub!!! Twice!), so you might want to bring ear plugs or please wear an Obama tee shirt. Good luck with that and have fun at the races. I expect to hear about you on CNN or "Breaking News" on MSNBC.

I on the other hand will be cleaning the house, doing laundry, reading Tolstoy, Thurber, Thoreau, Wharton or, watching HGTV or the Food Network on the fly and tending to the garden and kitties. Oh, how beautiful the life of a Democrat! And being a fan of German cars, prefer Formula 1!!! Thank you very much. Gotta go baby, hear the engines starting!!!

XO
Blottie

Technically you can't respond to this until Tuesday because of Mute Monday. You made your bed, now sleep in it.

Well it does seem that you have been quite the busy bee! And seeing that photo in the older post almost gives me the heebygeebies! Yikes...!
I can come over and help you with a good deep cleaning *packing up big HEFTY black bags*! I am armed and ready to go!
Come by and say hi sometime soon! I am beginning to think I am talking to myself in here....*turns and yells h-e-l-l-o and hears it echo back*
Hugs,
Robyn

hello,
I found you on my reader list and thought I'd check you out.

I have a list of things-to-do if you get bored of your own and want a change of scene.
Because no one here is getting round to my list.

Yeah, I'm lazy.

Oy Vey,
Now that was some work. All I managed to do Sunday was clean the floors in my 2000 sq ft. house, BBQ pork chops, chicken, and hot dogs, learn how to make homemade egg rolls, and entertain dinner guests. Oh and then I had to clean up the kitchen, and take out the trash. Today is my last day of vacation and I am sad. Going back to work tommorrow is not sounding so fun.

Happy Mute Monday.
See ya, Tuesday.

Java Junkie... I may go back to participating in Mute Monday. I've been on the run the last couple of weeks and quite honestly lost some interest. I might give it a shot, no promises.

Blottie... I'm not a huge NASCAR fan, but I do appreciate the skill of the drivers and the strategies that go into racing. There is a lot more to it than driving in circles fast.

Blottie again... I never make my bed, so I'll reply on Monday! :)

Robyn... I got a lot more done than I thought I would Sunday afternoon/night. I'm like that with cleaning... I get on a roll and don't stop until it's finished. The problem is getting me started is harder than moving Mount Everest.

warriorwoman... Thanks for checking in. I saw your "interview" of Old Knudsen and checked out your blog. I didn't finish my list, I'm not adopting someone elses!

Cecile... At least I only had to clean/cook for myself. I can't imagine having to do it all the time for a bunch of other people. Sorry your vacation is over... try to get through the first day at work with a semi-smile.

Can you please come to my house? My dishwaster needs to be emptied. You can watch Nascar on my TV if you want.

RC... I don't have much luck with dishwashers, you may want to do the job on your own.

Good to see ya back!

The race was the only thing on my Sunday's to do list.

I was a total slacker this past weekend, and you just proved it!

catscratch... I was a slacker as long as I could be. It got to the point it was such a mess that I couldn't stand living there. When I can't handle it, that means it's time to get off my ugly ass and get to work.

Here I am, the twelfth measure of popularity ... good work on the to-do list! Sending out a resume and application is an extra bonus.

Jennifer... Number 12 on the list, but at the top in our hearts!

Darn it, Bob, I would have been 13 but for you!

Darn it, Bob

How many times have I heard that in my life?

Helpful Household Cleaning Hint from Me: When cleaning a shower door (or anything really that involves pesky mildew) mix vinegar and water in a squirt bottle, spray and scrub. Do this before actually "cleaning", otherwise your bathroom will smell like, well, vinegar. If you still have spots, get a pumice stone (you can find these anywhere-- including WalMart-- in cosmetics) and start scrubbing. Pumice doesn't scratch and it does wonders on any kind of stain.

Penelope (Karen)... Thanks for the cleaning tips. As an eternally single guy I need all the domestic help I can get.
