Saturday morning

Saturday morning at the Abode of Bobness. What I have done is connect the monitor from my old desktop computer to my laptop. I also splurged and spent the bucks for the mlb.tv season long package. I can watch every major league baseball game (either home or away broadcasts) on my computer, either live or recorded. Therefore, I can watch the NESN feed of my beloved Red Sox anytime of day or night, especially since many of their east coast games start while I am still at work.

The beauty of the second monitor is that it makes it possible for me to watch the game in full screen while still using my full laptop screen for blogging, chatting, game playing, etc. No more having to choose between watching the game or writing compelling posts like this one. Now I can do both on a Saturday morning while lounging on my couch and sipping my Caribou Coffee.

Just an update:
My doctor has informed me that my EKG was fine, chest x-ray checked out normal, and my lab work looks good including blood counts, chemistries, and cholesterol. I've gotten a referral for a cardiologist to set up an appointment for a stress test. It is reassuring that things initially appear to be ok, but unsettling not knowing why I'm so tired, weak, with some chest tightness. Looks like you all might be stuck with me being around for a while.

That is just pathetic. No not the computer/baseball stuff. The plaid sofa. It's not only gender specific, it's reagionally specific (Megan's from CA, not the North East). How in the hell am I supposed to work that into a marriage? We may need to buy a slipcover for Megan! Your esthetics are killin' me and may possibly put the kybosh on this beautiful wedding. *Suze is seen scratching head, sweating and desperately looking through yellow pages for cheap upholstery shops.*

Oh, baseball good. Internet access while watching baseball even better!!! News about heart even better. If it's stress related, welcome to my club baby.

Happy Saturday.
XO

I'm glad your tests look good! I guess sometimes stress and depression do cause a hideous panoply of fun symptoms...I've experienced it myself...

As for the dual screen, that is totally rock n' roll.

I love it so much that Suzanne degraded your couch, while minimizing everything else. She is a riot!!!

I too, noticed the plaid couches.

I'm glad they set up a stress test for you. I'm VERY surprised they did not order it first.

If my friend Ruth would have had a simple stress test, the cheapest and easiest of all the tests, she'd be alive today.

Here's hoping for a clean bill of health on all of it Bob. If there is a blockage of any kind, it is easy to fix. I'm glad you are getting an early jump on it before any damage is done.

Ha, both of us has pictures of a computer monitor in our blogs today. How cool is that. I suppose brilliant minds think alike.

I like your couch too. It is definitely masculine.

Oh shut up. All of you. I'm up against a bunch of freakin plaid freaks. *Rolls eyes in head.*

Okay. Plaid is good.

Sounds like a nice way to spend a Saturday morning.

Glad to hear that all tests are normal. Stress can do freaky things to you...believe me.

Hey, I just read Suzanne's comments...are you guys getting married? I heard she's single now...

No RC... apparently Blottie is planning a wedding for Megan and I for sometime in December. It better not be on a football weekend.

Facts:

1) I'm single.
2) I'm not looking.
3) I can be a real bitch.
4) Trust me, don't even bother!
5) I watch Karen. Searching. Who has the f****** energy? Not me!! Me...ahhhhhhhhhhhh, whatever! And you know how much I love that woman!!! But really, I just don't have it in me. Perhaps next year. But by then I'll be 50. Who wants a 50 year old? According to Google, sadly, not many. I can always move to Florida and pray.

What?

i didnt notice the couch but suzannes aesthetics are the reason you never see my house on my blog.

when i read this my first reaction was to think that surely watching the box while doing computer stuff is not good for anxiety?
havent you heard all the guff about being totally in the moment? how it's calming and healthy?

Be careful with that baseball thingy you got! Didnt you hear about that one guy who did that while waiting to board a cruise ship and got a $26,000 'out of area' bill just because he was on the verge of international coverage? Yikes!
