"It's a fabulous place when the tide is in, a wave-churned basin creamy with foam... But when the tide goes out the little water world becomes quiet and lovely."

What a beautiful day you had. Sooo nostalgic right now. And jealous!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing these.
I hope the bay breezes lifted your spirits.
Now I'm homesick for the beach. If that walk didn't lift "The Brain's" spirits, I don't know what would. Sorry I could have been there beside you enjoying that beautiful scenery, but your photos are the next best thing.
I love these photo posts! Thanks for bringing us along on your trip.
A couple of months ago we went to Monterey, mainly for the aquarium, but we also spent a lot of time hanging out by that pirate. The kid is intermittently fascinated by them.
Off to catch up with your other post ...
This is so lovely--especially that special quality of sunlight in many of the pictures. I wish I was picknicking under those cypresses...
Awwww!!! Thank you so much, Bob!! I was looking at this via bloglines, and it wasn't till I clicked on your actual blog that I saw this, and I kept thinking all the way through, I love the photos, reminds me of mine, etc.
You live in a gorgeous part of the country, Bob. I have found that the best cure for depression these days is to go out and actively LOOK for the beauty around me. It's not that hard. It's everywhere, and it makes me feel good to share it. How'd it do for you?
I feel like I was on the walk with you. That's awesome. My feet hurt now. Care to buy me a beer at the onion? LOL.
Thanks for sharing, you have a very skilled eye. The California cypress is my favorite. Beautiful, just beautiful.
I agree with Karen. She had the balls to say it. I didn't, but wanted to.
I was taking Marine Biology at Berkeley when the Monterey Bay Aquarium opened. Our class went down for the weekend of the opening and I had the time of my life. Our whole class stayed at a very "upscale" motel, tidepooled, waited in line opening day and had a blast. I'll never forget it. Thanks for this. See Bob, you didn't only help yourself, you helped me!!! The photos are beautiful and capture everything perfectly. Just as I remember, only better.
Love you darling and glad to see you're out and about. Fresh air cleans out the cobwebs.
XO ;)
