I'll say it again, I am SAD for the loss of this brilliant comic. I have never seen him not be funny.

*sigh*

Hi Bob!

Just checking in to see how your day is going. I hope better than mine because mine isn't going. I'm in a bit of a funk, so I've decided to plant my ass in blogger land for and hour or so, talk to some pals and try to cheer the hell up. I think it might be the fires. It feels as if it's evening all day. We're completely covered in smoke, but had a bit of relief this morning because it didn't smell too bad. The winds must have shifted this afternoon and the smell is horrendous again. Ugh. I was driving Hwy 80 on the way back from the feeding the ferals at the park and it was such an odd sight. Everyone had their headlights on because the sky was dark and the air thick with smoke, and even more unusual was the tone of the freeway. People weren't rushing. We were doing 65 in the fast lane and nobody seemed to care. Not even me. I had all the windows down and the sunroof open because Rob had taken the car out around 7 am and turned the heat on. I'm embarrassed to say I haven't learned all the little Mercedes buttons yet. Everytime I tried to test a new button to turn it off, it would blow hotter, or from the north, the south, on my feet, from the defroster, etc. I finally gave up when I got it back down to a dull roar and counted my blessing. I know, pathetic. I got home and said "Rob, next time please turn off the heat because I don't know how." He replied, "I didn't turn it on." That's the kind of day I've had.

Love ya,
Blottie XO

Things here in Bobville are about the same, south of average. You'll get the hang of the new wheels I'm sure, just open the windows when you're hot, close 'em when you're cold. Thanks for checking in.
